Citizens of Tumblr, I present to you the Splash Mountain Rap.
The ceremony took place on July 17, 1995 which marked the 40th anniversary of Disneyland. Inside the capsule are various pins, name tags, maps, and art work celebrating the anniversary. The castle is not to be removed until the year 2035, to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the park.
This was changed not long after, because when merchandise would be sold on the island, the sales tax would be different than it would be to the rest of the park due to the different zip code, and the paper work just came to be too much.
Nature’s Wonderland featured various animatronics, like bears, fish, and mountain lions. Some of them were stripped and used for other attractions, but most of them were buried under what is now Rancho Del Zocalo in Frontierland.
This is because the highest railings are hardest to reach, and if they were to rust, it would be too difficult for the employees to get up there and clean, and this way they don’t need to pay anyone to take care of that problem for them!
Women have been known to get a little frisky on the final drop of Splash Mountain and lift their shirts exposing their breasts. While most Cast Members delete and get rid of all those pictures, a few have collected them and made a website called FlashMountain.net. Feel free to click on the picture and head to the website, if you’re brave enough, although it does feature nudity and you must be 18 years or older to view the site.
